In the year 2000, international brands of airless sprayers began flooding into the Chinese market, revolutionizing painting and coating efficiency. However, their prohibitively high prices left many local contractors and painting professionals struggling—unable to afford the equipment, or if they could, unable to bear the costs of the replacement parts. Caught between high expenses and low productivity, the Chinese painting industry faced a difficult dilemma.


Simon, the founder of HVBAN, was deeply moved by this predicament. Recognizing the market's need for reliable yet affordable airless sprayers, Simon resolved to take on the challenge. Motivated by a strong sense of responsibility toward the industry and an unwavering commitment to quality, he set out to change the status quo. 

 


Starting from Scratch: Focused on Component Development


In the early days of his entrepreneurial journey, Simon focused on developing parts for airless sprayers. He personally designed and refined the blueprints, striving to strike the perfect balance between quality and cost. Armed with these designs, he visited dozens of factories to find reliable manufacturing partners. Eventually, he succeeded in launching his first batch of cost-effective components.


The market response was overwhelmingly positive, earning Simon his first significant revenue and reinforcing his determination to continue innovating in the airless spraying equipment sector. However, the road to success was far from smooth. A quality control failure at one of his partner factories led to serious defects in a batch of components, costing Simon not only a large order but also the trust of his customers. 



Overcoming Challenges: The Turning Point

Overcoming Challenges: The important turning point of HVBAN business story

During this low point, Simon wandered the streets, weighed down by frustration and uncertainty. By chance, he noticed someone selling CNC machines by the roadside. Despite having no production facility or dedicated team, Simon made an impulsive decision to purchase two CNC machines. What seemed like a bold and risky move at the time turned out to be a pivotal moment in his entrepreneurial journey.


Simon rented a small house as a temporary workshop, hiring workers to operate the machines during the day and experienced technicians to help fine-tune the programs at night. Through relentless effort and experimentation, he not only mastered the production process but also established a reliable system to ensure consistent product quality.

From Components to Full Machines: The Rise of HVBAN


With growing expertise, Simon gradually achieved self-sufficiency in manufacturing almost all airless sprayer components. And most important is the accessories produced by HVBAN have also gained widespread recognition in the industry and market. This milestone inspired him to aim even higher: developing a complete airless sprayer.


After countless hours of research and thousands of design iterations, Simon launched HVBAN’s first airless sprayer, the EP270, in 2013.


With its outstanding performance and cost-effectiveness, the EP270 quickly became a market hit, solidifying HVBAN’s position in the industry. This breakthrough was a testament to Simon’s perseverance and marked the beginning of a new era for the company.
